It has been a great success: 107 French Bulldogs, coming from all over Italy and also from Switzerland, Belgium, Germany and Holland, (never seen such a number in an Italian exhibition before), were divided into two classes: the Technical Competition was judged by the Dutch breeder Jack Meerten, owner of the affix Van den Mestreechteneerkes and expert of the breed, while the  Amateur Competition was judged by Jack's mother, Irene Meerten.

Over 200 guests and 62 prizes awarded. To the Best in Show of the Meeting went the CBFI Challenge Trophy, a magnificent bronze sculpture. Perfect organization, managed by members of the Club, and excellent placement of the Rings where the two competitions were judged and of the Ring of Honor where the final selection led to the best subject of the Boule Meeting.

Mr. And Mrs. Meerten judged with competence and self-confidence, showing a great knowledge of the breed: BOB was the open class male, the fawn Karlos Sientje'S DE LOUNGCOURVILLE, breeder Fam. Verhoestadt - owner D. Deriquier. BOS was the champion class female, the pied multi ch EGIXIA DELL'OLDOYNIO LENGAI, breeder V. Vitali - owner S. Joerg. Best Young was the pied female CASSANDRE AU COEUR TENDRE, breeder - owner Arcangelo Bungaro.

The extraordinary turnout of French Bulldogs at the CBFI Boule Meeting highlighted both the passion of lovers of the race, who have come from very distant countries even for a non CAC competition, both the quality of the Italian production that has grown in recent years, particularly in the Baby, Junior, Youth, Intermediate classes, with very typical subjects, that is a great hope for the development of the French Bulldog in Italy.
